Description
AA428-210 (AO2) Honeywell Sensor
Key Features & Benefits
• Molex Connector
• Linear Output from 0-100% Oxygen
Poisoning
Honeywell AA428-210 (AO2) Oxygen Sensor designed for operation in a wide range of environments and harsh conditions. However, avoiding exposure to high concentrations of solvent vapours is important during storage, fitting into instruments, and operation.
When using sensors with printed circuit boards (PCBs), it is necessary to use degreasing agents before fitting the sensor. Do not glue directly on or near the CiTiceL as the solvent may cause crazing of the plastic.
Mechanical Installation
To avoid damaging the sensor thread, it is essential to only screw in the sensor by hand-tight and ensure a gas tight seal during installation. To prevent damage to the sensor thread, the use of spanners and similar mechanical aids is not permitted since they may apply excessive force.
Cross Sensitivity Table
CiTiceLs, despite being designed to be highly specific to the gas they are intended to measure, will still respond to some degree to various other gases that are not intended to be measured. Moreover, the table below is not exclusive and other gases not included in the table may still cause a sensor to react.
IMPORTANT NOTE : The cross sensitivity data shown below does not form part of the product specification and is supplied for guidance only. Values quoted are based on tests conducted on a small number of sensors and any batch may show significant variation. To achieve the most accurate measurements, calibrate the instrument using the gas under investigation.
The AO2 has tested a number of gases that may be present in automotive exhaust to establish their level of cross interference.
- Carbon Dioxide, CO2: Concentration 16% Balance N2 %O2 Equivalent <0.1
- Carbon Monoxide, CO: Concentration 6% Balance N2 %O2 Equivalent <0.1
- Nitric Oxide, NO: Concentration 3000 ppm Balance N2 %O2 Equivalent <0.1
- n-Hexane: Concentration 2000 ppm Balance N2 %O2 Equivalent <0.1
